| This monument is located next to built-again Mikhailovsky Cathedral. Grand Princess Olga ruled Kievan Rus from 945 through 964. She was the first to adopt Christianity in Rus. First the monument to Princess Olga was set up in 1911. In 1919-1923 the monument was destroyed. During the reconstruction of the Mikhailovska square in 1995 the old foundation and the statue were found. The new monument was set up on the former place. |
